SZN 03 FDC Performance Season

FDC is hosting two performance seasons a year. For each season we’ll host choreographer auditions, followed by dancer auditions, and then rehearsals. We’ll conclude each season with a performance!

Schedule
Rehearsals will run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from February 24th through June 18th. Each piece will rehearse bi-weekly for 1.5 hours. Note, for those familiar with our SZN 02 schedule, SZN 03 will not include a week of 45 minute rehearsals.

While there are no holiday breaks during SZN 3, there will be NO rehearsals the week of May 4th due to a studio scheduling conflict. Dancers should review how this vacation week impacts the remaining weekly rotation in the complete FDC Calendar of Events. FThe bi-weekly rehearsal schedule is outlined below.

Company Piece
There will also be a Company Piece choreographed by Marissa Simonelli. All of our Performance Members will be invited to join. Rehearsals will likely be held on Monday in place of the weekly workshop. A complete and final rehearsal schedule will be released upon season start.

Accessibility
This space is owned and run by Midway Artist Studios – an incredible team dedicated to keeping art studios affordable and available in our commercialized city. There is a parking lot next door at 230 A Street with a flat $10.00 fee for entry after 4 pm (out by 5 am) Monday-Friday. The closest T stop is Broadway red line in Southie.

Open Classes
FDC will continue offering weekly workshop classes throughout our performance season on Mondays from 8 – 9:30 pm. While these classes will be open to the public, they will also be free for Performance Members. Learn more on our Open Classes page.

the show

June 27th, 2026

Somerville Theatre

Show Day
FDC’s Season Three performance will take place on June 27th, 2026 and feature thirteen original FDC works, as well as guest performances from the Boston dance community. We anticipate hosting both a matinee and an evening show. There will be a bar available during both shows as well as a local florist on-site selling bouquets.

Tech Week
We plan to host a combined tech and dress rehearsal on Sunday June 21st (timing TBA). We will also host “The Last Rehearsal” prior to show day, during which we’ll run through the show in order, without costumes, in studio. The goal will be to refresh everyone’s minds and cheer the community on in preparation for show day!

Purpose
FDC is committed to fostering a welcoming environment that promotes our pillar of community. To encourage connections and transparency, we host a collection of member-only community events and opportunities for feedback throughout the season.

Events
Community events are subject to change each season. Typically, FDC will host the following:

FREE photoshoot
FREE access to weekly open workshops
Health & wellness event (ex. private dancer focused physical therapy session)
Social event(s)
Graphic tee contest (to decide our SZN company shirt)
