SZN 02 FDC Performance Season

FDC is hosting two performance seasons a year. For each season we’ll host choreographer auditions, followed by dancer auditions, and then rehearsals. We’ll conclude each season with a performance!

Choreographer and Dancer Auditions have already taken place.

rehearsals

September 9th – January 22nd
Tues, Wed, Thurs

Masary Studios (SZN01 Photoshoot Location)
๐Ÿ“15 Channel Center St, Boston, MA 02210

Schedule
Rehearsals will run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from September 9th through January 22nd. Each piece will rehearse bi-weekly for 1.5 hours. During the final week of rehearsals on January 20th – January 22nd, ALL pieces will have a 45 minute rehearsal on their respective day of the week. This totals 12.5 hours of rehearsal time, which is over two hours more than our SZN 1 schedule.

Note, there are shifts in the schedule to account for holiday breaks – the complete rehearsal schedule is published on the FDC Calendar of Events. For a 12 piece performance, the bi-weekly schedule is outlined below.

Company Piece
There will also be a Company Piece choreographed by Ally Chamberlain. All of our Performance Members will be invited to join. Rehearsals will likely be held on Monday in place of the weekly workshop. A complete and final rehearsal schedule will be released upon season start.

Accessibility
This space is owned and run by Midway Artist Studios โ€“ an incredible team dedicated to keeping art studios affordable and available in our commercialized city. There is a parking lot next door at 230 A Street with a flat $10.00 fee for entry after 4 pm (out by 5 am) Monday-Friday. The closest T stop is Broadway red line in Southie.

Open Classes
FDC will continue offering weekly workshop classes throughout our performance season on Mondays from 8 – 9:30 pm. While these classes will be open to the public, they will also be free for Performance Members. Learn more on our Open Classes page.

Show Day
FDC’s Season Two performance will take place on January 31st, 2026 and feature thirteen original works. We anticipate hosting both a matinee and an evening show. There will be a bar available during both shows as well as a local florist on-site selling bouquets.

Tech Week
We plan to host a combined tech and dress rehearsal on Sunday January 25th (timing TBA). The goal will be to refresh everyone’s minds and cheer the community on in preparation for show day!
